I am a Consultant Physician and Geriatrician with over 30 years of experience. I care for adults of all ages, particularly older people with complex health needs.

I take a holistic approach to your care. This means I look at your overall health, rather than focusing on just one condition. I often see patients who have several medical problems at the same time or who need a second opinion.

I am a Fellow and Examiner for the Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh. I also hold senior roles in the NHS.

I have extensive experience in managing a range of conditions, including:

• Memory problems caused by medical conditions, such as vascular dementia
• Falls and balance problems
• Heart failure
• Diabetes
• Multiple long‑term conditions (also known as comorbidities)

• Osteoporosis (bone thinning) and fracture prevention

• Medication reviews and polypharmacy (when you take multiple medicines)
• Long‑term conditions such as COPD (a lung condition that affects breathing)
• Type 2 diabetes
• Heart failure
• High blood pressure (hypertension)
• Underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism)
• Urinary tract infections

Tests and investigations

I offer a range of tests to help diagnose and monitor your condition, including:

• Blood tests
• Electrocardiogram (ECG), which checks your heart rhythm
• Ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (blood pressure measured over 24 hours)
• Ambulatory ECG (heart monitoring over time)
• Echocardiogram (an ultrasound scan of the heart)
• CT or MRI brain scans for memory problems
