About
Dr An Janssen is a dedicated and compassionate GP with over 20 years’ experience in all aspects of General Practice. She believes in providing a personalised service, offering easy and convenient access, face-to-face consultations, and continuity of care.
Dr Janssen began her medical studies at the Catholic University of Leuven in Belgium. She moved to the UK in 1999 to specialise in General Practice, completing her training at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, including time at Musgrove Hospital in Taunton.
Following her training, Dr Janssen gained valuable international experience, working as a medic on a Raleigh International expedition in Chile, volunteering for the Himalayan Rescue Association in Nepal, serving as a medical officer with the Royal Flying Doctor Service in Australia, and working on a ski field in New Zealand.
Since returning to the UK in 2006, she has worked as a GP in a busy NHS practice in Mid Devon. She enjoys all aspects of General Practice and has a special interest in women’s health, including contraception.
Personal interests
Travelling, being outdoors, walking, mountaineering, skiing and spending time with her children and husband.
