Dr Yerramasu is an experienced Consultant Cardiologist specialising in cardiac imaging, heart rhythm management, and cardiac pacing. He has been an NHS consultant since August 2016, providing high‑quality, evidence‑based care to patients across Edinburgh and the surrounding region.
Extensive international training
Dr Yerramasu completed his medical degree in India, followed by postgraduate training in Belfast, where he built a strong foundation in general medicine and cardiology.
He has also completed advanced specialist training at leading centres, including:
- Cardiac Imaging Fellowship, Washington, DC, USA – expertise in echocardiography, cardiac MRI, and multimodality imaging
- Clinical research in cardiac imaging at the Wellington Hospital, London
- Specialist Cardiology Training at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, focusing on cardiac imaging and pacing
This broad training gives him strong diagnostic skills and up‑to‑date knowledge of modern cardiovascular care.
