About

Dr Awe is a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Nuffield Health Shrewsbury, with a specialist interest in reproductive medicine, fertility care and miscarriage support. She brings valuable experience from several fertility units across the South West, offering expert, compassionate care to women and couples seeking support with fertility, pregnancy and gynaecological health.

She completed her training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology within the South West Peninsula Deanery and has worked across both specialist (tertiary) centres and district general hospitals. Dr Awe undertook a fellowship in fertility at Salisbury Fertility Centre, followed by a senior role at Derriford Hospital in Plymouth, where she led services for fertility preservation and recurrent miscarriage at the South West Centre for Reproductive Medicine. This has given her strong expertise in managing complex fertility cases and supporting patients through their treatment journey.

Alongside her clinical work, Dr Awe is actively involved in education and research. She has published work in the Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and co-authored a textbook chapter on caesarean delivery and emergency gynaecological surgery. She has also worked as a visiting lecturer at Plymouth University and is passionate about supporting training in women’s health. Her areas of interest include fertility treatment, recurrent miscarriage, reproductive medicine, early pregnancy care and general gynaecology.
