My clinical practice focuses on nerve conduction studies (NCS) and electromyography (EMG), which are essential tools for neurological assessment, screening, and diagnosis. These investigations help identify conditions such as neuropathy, carpal tunnel syndrome, radiculopathy, and neuromuscular disorders.
The findings from NCS and EMG frequently inform wider clinical and multidisciplinary decision‑making. This includes orthopaedic management of nerve‑related injuries such as fractures, pre‑operative planning for neurosurgery, and coordination with oncology teams when neurological complications arise during cancer treatment. Mywork also intersects with cardiology, complex medical therapy, and personalised rehabilitation pathways.
In many cases, my diagnostic input guides the need for further procedures, including biopsy, endoscopy, arthroscopy, laparoscopic interventions, surgical resection, or the placement of an implant.
Education
I graduated from Damascus University in 1993 before moving to the UK in 1997. I completed specialist training in Clinical Neurophysiology in 2004 and in Neurology in 2006.
