Nuffield Health names Steve Gray as new Chief Executive

Nuffield Health, the UK's leading healthcare organisation, is to appoint Steve Gray as Chief Executive, with effect from 1 January 2016, it announced today.

Steve Gray has led the growth of the health and wellbeing offering at both Lloyds Pharmacy and subsequently at Superdrug, where he is currently Healthcare Director.

Today's announcement follows the statement earlier this week by current Chief Executive, David Mobbs, that he is leaving the business. David has served as Nuffield Health’s Chief Executive since 2003 and will leave the business at the end of the year.

Russell Hardy, Chairman, Nuffield Health said:
"I am delighted that Steve Gray has decided to join us. We undertook a worldwide search for our new CEO. Steve was the outstanding candidate. His strategic insights into the UK healthcare market combined with his vision for Nuffield Health over the next stage of its development were compelling. He has a proven track record of innovation and commercial success across a range of healthcare markets. Nuffield Health is in safe hands.”

Steve Gray said:
"Nuffield Health is a world class health and wellbeing provider and I'm excited to be given the chance to lead it at a time when both those things will feature ever higher in our national way of life. I am delighted to be given the opportunity to build on David Mobbs' legacy at Nuffield Health as it is an organisation I have long respected and admired."
