Infection Control:  This hospital is free from meticillin resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and clostridium difficile (C Diff).  There have been no cases in the 1st quarter of 2010.

Laser Eye surgery is now available at Nuffield Health Plymouth Hospital.

Mr Nabil Habib, consultant ophthalmic surgeon is a cornea and refractive surgery specialist and has developed the laser  vision correction practice at this hospital.

We are a busy hospital with limited free parking so would ask you to allow sufficient time for your appointment.
On-site pharmacy:
Yes, if drugs are prescribed they can be dispensed at the hospital pharmacy. Opening hours 0830 – 1630 Mon Fri. Alternatives: Inpatients - nurses can access pharmacy with the RMO. Outpatients - prescriptions can be filled at any chemist shop/pharmacy.

Refurbishments
New Theatre Re-development Project:  We have recently completed a £3.5m development within the hospital which has included the addition of a third operating Theatre, specified with the very latest equipment. We are extremely pleased to be investing within the hospital and the Plymouth area; which also includes the addition of a completely digitilised imaging function, the first Digital Mammography machine in the South West and the latest 64 slice CT scanner. These additions will enable the hospital to offer much needed new theatre capacity for the Plymouth area and support the hospital and its committed teams to deliver excellent patient care.
