Every course of treatment starts with a 45-minute initial assessment to assess your symptoms, then recommend the right plan for you and begin treatment. Follow-up appointments are 30 minutes. Your physiotherapist will advise how many appointments you will need but you can stop treatment at any time. *Treatment price does not include specialist pelvic health physiotherapy appointments.

Sophie is a Physiotherapist with over 10 years of experience, initially working within the general rotations within the NHS and then specialising within the field of neurology both in NHS and private settings.

Sophie has worked in neurology across UHL and LPT with patients of all ages and diagnoses. Sophie is keen to help to rehabilitate neurological patients towards their goals, working with them on providing independence and quality of life.

Sophie has previously worked as a research physiotherapist within the field of stroke and now works part time at the University of Leicester teaching physiotherapy students.

Minal joined the Nuffield health physiotherapy team in 2003. She specialises in pelvic health, treating patients with a range of conditions, including bladder problems, incontinence issues, pelvic pain, prolapse and problems related to childbirth or following surgery. She also has a strong background in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and has completed a Masters in Manual therapy, allowing her to assess and treat cases that are more complex within pelvic health. Minal works closely with the gynaecologist’s and Urologists at Nuffield Health, Leicester Hospital.

Anton graduated from Coventry University in 2010 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy, upon completion of his degree he has worked as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist in the private sector developing his treatment skills in a variety of clinical settings. 

He developed a keen interest in sporting injuries and has worked with a number of sporting teams such as Ice Hockey team, Leicester Ladies Hockey Club and in June 2015 went to Baku to work as a physiotherapist in the European games.

Anton works with elite and non-elite athletes on lower limb injury rehabilitation such as ACL repairs, anterior knee pain as well as foot and ankle injuries, including shockwave treatment (ESWT) and is based at both the Nuffield Health Gym and at the Hospital

Anton is in a unique position to offer access to the gym area to facilitate your rehabilitation. He is also trained in acupuncture.

How can I help you improve your health?

Rachel is an integral part of the team at Nuffield Health Leicester Physiotherapy and is the first point of contact within the department.

As well as her administrative role within the department, she is also involved assisting with post-operative physiotherapy on the ward and assists with our specialist post-operative lower limb group to enhance our recovery programme.

Rachel has many years of working in customer service, both by telephone and customer facing. She has worked in the hospital in a variety of roles and as client services adviser at the fitness and wellbeing centre.

Rachel has a keen interest in health and wellbeing. She likes to keep active, is a member of a local running club and regularly practices yoga.

Jess graduated with a First Class degree in physiotherapy from Oxford Brookes University in 2019. Since graduating, Jess has worked in a mixture of NHS and private musculoskeletal settings before joining Nuffield Health in 2021.

Jess embraces a holistic approach to rehabilitation and places emphasis on the emotional and mental impact of your well-being journey. Alongside this, Jess is starting her specialism in Pelvic Health physiotherapy working closely alongside Minal Ghadia (our senior pelvic physiotherapist).

Jess is an experienced horse rider who understands the demands horse riding and care can put on your rehab journey. Jess is keen to help fellow riders return to the saddle or optimise their performance postoperatively or post-injury.

Jess is happy to see patients at either the Nuffield Health Leicester Hospital or the Nuffield Health Fitness and Wellbeing Centre.

How can I help you improve your health?

Lynsey is a highly skilled physiotherapist with over 15 years’ experience of assessing and treating a variety of musculoskeletal conditions. She qualified in 2004 from The University of Hertfordshire.  She is trained in McKenzie based assessment and management of the spine and neck. She is also AACP trained in acupuncture, for pain relief.

Lynsey has a keen interest in in lower limb rehabilitation after orthopaedic surgery and injury and runs our lower limb classes following joint replacement surgery. Lynsey is also interested in helping to prevent falls in the older population and treating paediatric patients.

Lynsey adopts a holistic approach to patient care when assessing her patients, with a focus on lifestyle and emotional wellbeing and addressing their effects on our musculoskeletal health.

Her time is spent working between the Nuffield Health Leicester Hospital and the Nuffield Health Fitness and Wellbeing Centre.

Lynsey is a mum of two young children and enjoys running and yoga. Lynsey has also spent time travelling abroad, where she has had the opportunity to do some invaluable volunteer physiotherapy work in Tanzania with disabled children and adults.

Lynsey has another role within Leicester Hospital as an environmental champion. Lynsey is passionate about the impact that humans have on our planet and is particularly enthusiastic about reducing waste. She enjoys encouraging others to make simple swaps and simple changes to their behaviour to help in our fight against the climate crisis.

How can I help you improve your health?

Clare is a Physiotherapist with over 20 years’ experience, initially working in the NHS then for UK based Regiments of the British Army and in Private Hospitals and Gyms. Over the years Clare has developed a special interest in rehabilitation of the lower limb and particularly the foot. She works with Consultants to maximise recovery from sporting injuries as well as assessing and rehabilitating chronic conditions caused by poor running or training form. Previously a keen triathlete and Coach, Clare has worked with Elite and Club athletes analysing running gait to reduce injury risk and improve performance. Clare is keen to rehabilitate athletes and encourages progression to personal trainers to maximise a return to full athletic potential. Her time is spent working between Nuffield Health Fitness and Wellbeing Centre and the Nuffield Health Leicester Hospital.
