Your initial 45-minute appointment involves an assessment and treatment. We assess your pain and symptoms to determine the cause of these symptoms, then recommend a treatment plan for you and begin this treatment. Follow-up appointments are 30 minutes. Your physiotherapist will advise how many appointments you will need but you can stop treatment at any time.

What is physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy is a profession whose aim is to encourage and support the return to normal following illness, surgery, disease or trauma. It can be effective in the treatment of a range of muscle, joint and nerve conditions.

Physiotherapists use a wide range of techniques such as manual therapy and exercise prescription to maintain health for people of all ages, helping patients to manage pain and prevent disease.

We can offer expertise in upper limb and hand rehabilitation, pain management programmes and post-surgical recovery. Many of our therapists are also trained in Pilates, Acupuncture and Joint Manipulation, carrying out thorough biomechanical assessments to enhance and optimize function.

We have strong links with many orthopaedic consultants and have an excellent track record in the rehabilitation of upper and lower limb sports injuries. In addition we can offer pre and post natal treatment and advice as well as vertigo and balance rehabilitation with our vestibular specialist.

Emma Bradley Physiotherapist About

Emma Bradley

How can I help you improve your health?

Emma has been a physiotherapist working in the musculoskeletal field for the past seven years, with a particular interest in sports injuries. She has worked in both the NHS and private sports clinics, most recently completing a Master’s in Sports & Exercise medicine.

Emma has also provided physiotherapy cover for various rugby clubs, at triathlon events, London Marathon and treated players during Wimbledon tennis fortnight. She enjoys sport too, particularly running and triathlons and loves to help people achieve success in their sport, however big or small the target.

Physiotherapy can help people to return to their normal (or improved!) level of function after injury or illness and Emma enjoys the challenge of working with people to help them achieve their goals, whether they be related to sport, work or just enabling daily function.

She teaches clinical pilates which can be a great way to introduce exercise back into a programme after an injury, pregnancy or illness. Alongside physiotherapy Emma is also qualified in acupuncture which can be a great addition to treatment to promote healing and relieve pain.
