Your initial 45-minute appointment involves an assessment and treatment. We assess your pain and symptoms to determine the cause of these symptoms, then recommend a treatment plan for you and begin this treatment. Follow-up appointments are 30 minutes. Your physiotherapist will advise how many appointments you will need but you can stop treatment at any time.

Located minutes from Cheam Village and Cheam railway station, Nuffield Health Cheam Fitness & Wellbeing Gym is conveniently situated close to Cheam's town centre. Our gym provides an abundance of free parking so we are in an ideal location for patients travelling from further afield, such as Epsom, Ewell, Surbiton and Carshalton for their physiotherapy treatment.

We have a friendly and professional team of Senior Physiotherapists, each with over 10 years experience. Each Physiotherapist is extremely knowledgeable and has their own areas of special clinical interests which include:

  • Upper and Lower Limb Biomechanics
  • Orthopaedic Rehabilitation
  • Tendinopathy Management
  • Foot and Ankle dysfunction/injuries
  • Ergonomics
  • Pregnancy-related conditions.

All of our Physiotherapists are trained in Western Acupuncture and Kinesio Taping. We also offer Clinical Pilates, both in a class and one to one setting. Our Physiotherapists make good use of the gym, often performing rehabilitation exercises with clients as well as maintaining a good relationship with the Fitness Team who often support.

Appointments are available every day of the working week, at varying times and often within 24-48 hours.

How can I help you improve your health?

Emma qualified from Kings College London in 2006 and since then has worked in a variety of settings including the NHS, private practice and in many sporting roles. She was one of the physiotherapists at the London 2012 Olympic Games - working with the gymnasts and relishes the opportunity to work with both amateur and professional athletes.

She has post-qualification training in Acupuncture, Clinical Pilates and Kinesiotaping. Her main area of special interest is the foot and ankle and lower limb biomechanics but she enjoys treating all problems.

How can I help you improve your health?

Lucy graduated from Brighton University with a BSc(Hons) Physiotherapy degree in 2011. She has worked in the NHS as a senior musculoskeletal physiotherapist and in the private sectors both in central London and Val D’Isere developing a wide range of skills, and experience. She is trained in the use of Clinical Pilates and acupuncture. 

Having completed two seasons as a Ski Physio treating a wide range of injuries in ski racing national athletes to complete beginners Lucy has a particular interest in ski biomechanics and ski injuries. As a keen sailor and tennis player she has a keen interest in sports injuries and helping you get back to fighting fitness for whatever your next adventure might be. Lucy has also worked in the City treating many office workers with problems related to sedentary work and enjoys engaging patients in improving their posture and lifestyle to complement manual and exercise based physiotherapy techniques.

Lucy loves the challenge of discovering the underlying cause of the problem whilst treating the acute symptoms in order to maximise the long term benefits to her patients.
