What is Nuffield Health My Wellbeing?
Nuffield Health My Wellbeing is our new app that syncs with our onsite Technogym™ equipment and supports your fitness goals outside of the gym. My Wellbeing gives you workouts and programmes you can do anywhere. You can:
- Connect with your onsite cardio kit simply and easily through your Nuffield Health member account
- Replicate outdoor workouts indoors
- Join our bespoke in-app Challenges and be part of the fun
- Access new workouts inside or outside the gym with our ‘Workout of the Week’ feature
- Build your own workouts based on your goals
How can I download the app?
The app is publicly available in Google Play and Apple Store. Just search for ‘Nuffield Health My Wellbeing’ in the app store.
Which devices can the app be downloaded on?
You can download the app on Apple & Android devices. The app is compatible with Android versions 5 and above, and iOS 11 and above. Some functionality will be reduced on Android versions lower than 7.
How do I start using the Nuffield Health My Wellbeing app?
To get started, sign into the app with your Nuffield Health online account credentials.
How do I register for a Nuffield Health online account?
You don’t need to be a member of the gym to have a Nuffield Health account. If you’re not a member of the gym you can register for an account here. You can also register on the app using the 'create account' link in the login page.
If you’re a gym member then you can log in using your existing gym account; if you have not set this up yet then please refer to the next question on how to create your member account.
You won’t be able to create an account on the gym equipment.
I am having trouble creating a Nuffield Health account
If you are having problems registering for an account, please contact the Nuffield Health team on 0300 123 1406 who can assist you further.
I am a member of a Nuffield Health gym, does this mean I have a Nuffield Health account?
When you become a member of a gym, we’ll send you a welcome email to create your account which needs to be activated within 2 weeks; after this it will expire. If you did not do this, you will need to call the contact centre on 0300 123 1406 and ask them to send you a new activation email.
If you don’t know your account details, go to the account login page at www.nuffieldhealth.com/account and follow the instructions to get a reminder of your details or reset your password.
I am a gym member. I don’t have a Nuffield Health account, however I do have a mywellness account and want to use the Nuffield Health My Wellbeing app. What do I do?
Your current mywellness app log in will not work on the Nuffield Health My Wellbeing app, you will need a Nuffield Health account. If you already have an account for the Nuffield Health My Bookings app this login will work on the new Nuffield Health My Wellbeing app also. If you do not already have a Nuffield Health account you can contact the Nuffield Health team to send you an activation email by calling 0300 123 1406 or emailing OnlineSupport@nuffieldhealth.com with your request.
Can I carry on using the mywellness app (original) to use Technogym equipment in Nuffield gyms?
Yes you can, but if you’re a regular Nuffield Health gym user we recommend that you use the Nuffield Health My Wellbeing app. The Nuffield Health My Wellbeing app will enhance your in-gym experience because it will be personalised and tailored to you and your Nuffield Health gym with useful, relevant content. The app will complement your workout both inside and outside the gym.
I am already signed up with mywellness, why should I move over to the Nuffield Health My Wellbeing app?
Only Nuffield Health My Wellbeing app users will get Programmes and Workouts created by Nuffield Health, Club Challenges, Workouts of the Week created by our Personal Trainers, and other specialist content.
Will I lose all my data that I have accrued on the mywellness app when I move over to the Nuffield Health My Wellbeing app?
No. If you are already a user of the mywellness app, you can import your existing data to your Nuffield Health My Wellbeing app by navigating to “Settings”, and “Import your data”. You will be asked to enter your Technogym mywellness username and password to positively confirm your mywellness identity. The previous 18 months of measures, tests, workouts outdoor activities and all activities tracked with third party devices will be imported.
I’ve forgotten my member account password. What do I do?
You can click on ‘forgot password’ on the app or here. This will then take you through a verification journey to reset your password. Once you have changed your password, you can close your browser and sign into the app.
Which gyms can I use the app in?
The app can be used in any Nuffield Health gym, or even at home using the Virtual Gym. However, the experience is enhanced in gyms that include Technogym equipment with QR codes, as activities can be tracked automatically. You can find the QR codes on Unity consoles, or displayed on the machines themselves.
How do I connect the app to my gym?
Once you are signed in with your Nuffield Health member credentials, you will be asked to confirm your home gym. Please note the location on your phone will also geolocate you and show the content for the location you are in. (Make sure your location services are turned on for the app). If you do not have location finder on, it will locate you when you connect to a piece of equipment.
I have the app already and I have since become a member. How do I change my gym location on the app as I would like my personalised home gym content?
On your first visit to the gym, you will be geolocated and able to see the content relating to your gym.
Using the app
What are MOVEs? How are they calculated?
MOVEs measure your activity level. The greater the training intensity, the more MOVEs you accumulate per minute. You can view the MOVEs in the Results section of the app. Your Movergy (in the yellow circle) is your MOVEs target per day, and it is calculated on your average MOVEs over two weeks.
How can I log in on Technogym equipment?
Go to the My Movement section and click on the QR code icon at the top right. You can log in by:
- scanning the equipment's QR code
- using your device's Bluetooth, bring your smartphone close to the Technogym equipment.
If connection is successful, you will see your profile photo on the machine's screen; at the same time, you will see the name of the machine you’re connected to on the app.
How can I book a class?
It is not yet possible to book any studio classes from the app. Please continue to use the My Bookings app or our website to book on to our classes.
Can I connect my heart rate belt to the app?
This app is compatible with the major Bluetooth heart rate belts (e.g. Polar H6/H7/H10/OH1, Scosche Rhythm+, Garmin Premium/HRM-Tri). You can connect your belt by visiting the section Other → HR monitor.
Can I connect this app to other fitness apps?
You can import the data from major fitness apps into the app; go to the Settings section, and “Connect apps and devices”.
Can I change my name, surname and nickname?
In the Settings section, click on your profile photo. You can view and edit your profile photo and your personal information.
Can I change the units of measurement?
In the Settings section, click on your profile photo. You can view and edit the User preferences, such as Language, Time Zone, Unit of measurement.
How can I update weight, height and other biometric data?
In the Results section, click on the “measure” icon. Click the + icon at the top right to manually update your biometric data. If your club has the body measurement instruments connected to Actic, the data will be automatically updated.
Can I turn off notifications?
The Nuffield Health My Wellbeing app features two notification types: “challenges” and “personal records”. These can be turned off under “Settings” and “Notifications”.
How can I start a free workout?
Go to the section My Movement → Do It Yourself; there are two ways you can add an exercise:
- scroll through the list of categories, select the exercise, enter the data and press the "Add exercise" button
- click the icon at the top right to scan the QR code or to connect to the equipment via Bluetooth. If the Technogym equipment is connected, your results will be saved automatically at the end of the exercise; otherwise, you can enter the data manually.
How do I edit the reps and the parameters of an exercise when I have an open workout?
Select an exercise and press the + icon to add reps; press on the rep data to edit its parameters or to delete it. You can edit an exercise only after saving it in your workout.
How do I edit the reps and the parameters of an exercise when I have an assigned programme?
In the My Movement area, select the workout that contains the exercise you want to edit. Press the icon at the top right, select the exercise and press the + icon to add reps; press on the rep data to edit its parameters or to delete it. You can also add an exercise to the assigned programme clicking on the Add exercise at the end of the list of your assigned exercises for that session.
How do I delete exercises or workouts?
In the Results area, open the detail of the task that you want to delete: press Delete activity to delete the entire workout or enter the list of exercises and scroll with your finger to one of them to delete only one or some.
Can I track my outdoor training?
There are 2 ways to track your outdoor training:
- directly in the app using Outdoor activity tracking available in home
- connecting third party Apps (e.g. Garmin Connect, Strava, Polar, etc.); the data will be automatically synchronised at the end of the task.
Can I sign into machines in the gym manually, using the Unity console?
Currently you can only sign into machines using your phone or wristband.
