The Community Heart Health Check programme is an initiative through George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust to help you understand more about heart health and give you better control over your health outcomes.

The clinic will be open between the hours of 9:30 - 15:30. Drop in to Nuffield Health Nuneaton Fitness and Wellbeing Centre for your free heart health check.

Why is this important?

Community Heart Health Checks can help to identify risks of something called cardiovascular disease.

This condition is the number one cause of death globally. It is estimated, however, that up to 80% of cases are caused by modifiable risk factors such as smoking, obesity, excessive alcohol consumption and more.

What does it involve?

With your consent, you will undergo heart health checks which include blood pressure tests, heart rate monitoring and BMI measurements.

The team will talk you through each test as well as what the results mean for you.

If you decide the results may require additional diagnosis and treatment, you may be referred to your GP for further investigation.

Receive a free heart health check within your community, without the need to unnecessarily travel to your nearest healthcare provider.

The Community Heart Health Check programme aims to provide individuals and groups direct access to healthcare services which they wouldn’t normally engage with.
