All our rooms are en-suite, we serve a special children’s menu which caters for allergies and any other dietary requirements. Your child will be cared for by specialist Paediatric Nurses.

Nuffield Health Parkside Hospital provides comprehensive, expert care for children and young people and our services include both inpatient and outpatient services, plus a wide range of consultant clinics and surgical care. For your peace of mind, our teams are also trained in emergency care.
We perform day case surgery on children aged 3 - 16 years and we see children from 0-16 years in our Outpatient clinics, where we also carry out minor procedures under local anaesthetic and a specialised children’s phlebotomy clinic.

Keeping you informed
Every child will have a detailed pre assessment telephone call explaining what to expect on the day and to answer any questions you may have prior to the day. Should you feel a visit to the hospital would be beneficial to your child before the day then we are happy to arrange this for you.
Visiting and staying with your child
We have an open visitor policy, so your child can enjoy the comfort and support of having friends and family visit anytime. Parents will stay with their child throughout the admission and all children will have friendly nurses and private rooms with en-suite shower rooms. Here at Parkside all our surgeries are performed as day case procedures with no overnight stays required.
Food and drink
We know some children can be particular about their food, so we offer a special children's food and drink menu to make sure they have food they're used to at home.
