About

Ms Nambiar is a Consultant Senior Eye Surgeon with more than 20 years of experience treating the full range of general eye conditions. After becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists in London, she completed advanced specialist training in glaucoma at Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham.

She previously served as a Consultant Ophthalmologist at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton. She currently works at the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust as a Consultant Eye Surgeon and glaucoma specialist.

Her clinical practice includes all aspects of general eye care, with particular expertise in diagnosing and treating glaucoma and cataracts. She is highly skilled in both routine and complex small-incision cataract surgery, including procedures for patients with coexisting glaucoma.

She performs a wide range of glaucoma procedures, including laser treatments, trabeculectomy, aqueous shunt implants, and various minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries (MIGS) such as Preserflo, MicroShunt, iStent, viscocanaloplasty, and trabeculotomy.


Ms Nambiar is recognised for her calm, clear, and patient-focused approach. She takes time to understand each patient’s concerns and delivers personalised, evidence-based treatment plans. She is also dedicated to teaching, having served as a Royal College Tutor and continuing to support medical student education.
