Miss Melanie Tipples is a highly experienced consultant gynaecologist in Chichester, with over 30 years’ experience in women’s health. She provides expert diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of gynaecological conditions, with a focus on clear communication, fast diagnosis and personalised care.
She qualified from Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School in 1992 and completed her specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology in London, working at leading hospitals including St Mary’s, Queen Charlotte’s and St George’s.
Miss Tipples practices gynaecology privately at Nuffield Health Chichester Hospital and also works within the NHS at St Richard’s Hospital, where she has been a women’s health consultant since 2007 and leads several specialist services including cancer, colposcopy and ultrasound.
Miss Tipples offers a one-stop clinic approach, providing consultation, ultrasound and investigations in a single visit wherever possible. This helps patients receive answers quickly and start treatment without delay.

She has led the way in setting up a day case Hysterectomy Service within the United Kingdom which supports women to regain their health after major surgery in their own homes. This approach reduces complications and has led to her receiving awards for innovation in gynaecology surgery.
