About
Ms Amina Douglas is a Consultant Gynaecologist with a special interest in urogynaecology and pelvic floor health. She supports women experiencing prolapse and bladder symptoms, including urinary incontinence, offering clear explanations and a structured, approach to diagnosis and treatment.
She provides care across the full pathway of pelvic floor management, including conservative options such as pelvic floor physiotherapy and pessary care, as well as surgical treatments when appropriate.
Alongside her specialist work, Ms Douglas cares for women with a wide range of general gynaecological concerns and performs outpatient diagnostic procedures and gynaecological surgery.
Ms Douglas graduated from the University of Sheffield Medical School in 2005 and completed her specialist training in the West Midlands in 2014. She has been a Consultant at Newcross Hospital, Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust since 2015.
Her treatment approach is evidence‑based and centred around each woman’s individual needs. She takes time to discuss the full range of treatment options — from lifestyle and conservative measures to procedural or surgical treatments — and supports each patient in choosing the approach that offers the best outcomes for her health and wellbeing.
