About

Mrs Anastasia Lawrence is a highly experienced Senior Orthoptist with over 16 years of experience working in both hospital and community settings. She specialises in paediatric orthoptics and has extensive expertise in assessing and managing childhood eye conditions, including strabismus (squints), amblyopia (lazy eye), and disorders of eye movements.

Mrs Lawrence currently works as a Senior Orthoptist and Special Schools Service Lead at Whipps Cross Hospital, where she leads specialist eye care services for children with additional needs across multiple special educational needs schools. She also has experience in neuro-ophthalmology and multidisciplinary paediatric care.


Mrs Lawrence is passionate about providing child-centred, family-focused care and adapting assessments to meet each child's individual needs. She works closely with families, schools, optometrists, ophthalmologists and paediatricians to ensure children receive the highest standard of care in a supportive and welcoming environment.
