About
Mr Page is a specialist in minimally invasive treatments for a wide range of urological conditions.
He has extensive experience using advanced laser technologies for urological surgery, including Holmium laser for HoLEP (Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate) and stone fragmentation, photoselective laser therapy for prostate enlargement, and thulium laser treatments.
He is trained in the prostatic urethral lift procedure for bladder outlet obstruction and percutaneous tibial nerve stimulation for overactive bladder.
His surgical practice includes laparoscopic nephrectomy for both benign and cancerous conditions, as well as laparoscopic donor nephrectomy. As a high‑volume laparoscopic surgeon, he is also a committee member for the National Renal Surgery Enhanced Recovery Programme.
Mr Page performs targeted prostate biopsies for suspected prostate cancer and provides a comprehensive general urology service.
He serves as the Royal College of Surgeons of England Surgical Tutor for the Freeman Hospital and is an Honorary Clinical Lecturer at Newcastle University. In addition, he is the Clinical Governance Lead and Chair for the Urology and Renal Directorate at the Freeman Hospital. Mr Page is a co‑applicant and Principal Investigator on a nationally funded laser trial for benign prostate enlargement.

New Technology in urological surgery especially lasers and their use in surgery. Training others in laser and laparoscopic surgery.
Personal interests
Mr Page is married and has a family. He enjoys water based activities as well as running and cycling.

Research
Mr Page has a PhD in the molecular genetics of kidney cancer and has a number of publications as well as book chapters.
He is a reviewer for a number of journals including the BMJ.
He is currently the primary investigator for a number of national trials on bladder cancer (Hymn trial) prostate enlargement treatments (UNBLOCs and ROPE) as well as go investigator on trials on laser surgery, stone treatments and cancer genetics.
He is also currently undertaking feasibility studies on research into the impact of urinary catheterisation on general wellness and function across a spectrum of ages in men and women.
