About
Mr Simon Bott is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at NHS Frimley Park Hospital in Surrey and a founding member of Urology Partners.
A nationally recognised expert in prostate cancer diagnostics, he pioneered template prostate biopsies and was the first UK surgeon to perform fusion guided targeted biopsies.
He specialises in minimally invasive prostate cancer treatment, advanced prostate imaging, and comprehensive stone surgery, performing over 200–300 biopsies each year. His research has produced 40+ publications and shaped modern prostate cancer pathways.
He also treats all types of kidney and bladder stones, offering keyhole and laser procedures when needed. As the clinical lead for the Frimley Stone Service, he set up the hospital’s specialist stone treatment unit.

Research
Simon leads the Prostate Cancer Service and Stone Service at Frimley Park Hospital, where he established the Trust’s lithotripsy programme. He performs more than 200–300 biopsies per year and is actively involved in national prostate cancer research trials.
He is also actively involved in the development and clinical evaluation of prostate cancer focal therapy and continues to act as a principal investigator in several national research trials. His work in active surveillance has contributed to internationally recognised protocols, with more than 95% of men on his surveillance programme remaining safely monitored for up to seven years.
