About
Mr Ross Fawdington is a renowned Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in hand and wrist conditions. With a calm, empathetic style, he supports patients to recover mobility, strength and confidence – whether returning to work, sport or everyday life.
He expertly manages a wide spectrum of problems: carpal tunnel syndrome, wrist and hand arthritis, fractures, tendon injuries, trigger finger, ganglions, Dupuytren’s contracture, nerve compressions and complex trauma. Both surgical (e.g. trapeziectomy, fracture fixation) and non-surgical treatments (splints, steroid injections) are tailored to your needs and clearly explained at every stage.
He qualified from the University of Manchester in 2005. Mr Fawdington trained through the Oswestry rotation and completed dual fellowships: advanced ortho-plastic trauma and the elite Training Interface Group hand surgery programme. He earned a Master’s in Hand Surgery with Merit, one of a select few in the UK, and was awarded the prestigious Stack Travelling Fellowship from the British Society for Surgery of the Hand, affording him additional experience at world-class hospitals in the USA.
Appointments are available promptly for insured and self–funding patients at Nuffield Health, Wolverhampton Hospital.
“Dr Fawdington took time to explain every step, was so reassuring after my wrist fracture, and I felt truly in safe hands” – verified patient via Doctify.
