Mr Robert Drummond is a highly experienced Consultant Upper Gastrointestinal (GI) and General Surgeon based in Glasgow, specialising in laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery, complex gallbladder and biliary disease, and hernia repair. Appointed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH) in 2018, he has established a strong reputation for delivering safe, effective, and minimally invasive surgical care.

Mr Drummond is recognised for advancing the laparoscopic bile duct exploration service at QEUH and for providing a dedicated referral pathway for patients requiring complex or difficult gallbladder surgery, including those with previous complications or challenging anatomy.

He continues to perform a full range of general surgical procedures, offering both open and laparoscopic approaches to ensure the best outcomes for each patient.
