About

Mr Goru completed his medical degree at Andhra Medical College in 1999 and pursued postgraduate Orthopaedics training at Ganga Hospital, Coimbatore. He developed an early interest in spinal surgery, which led him to the UK in 2006. There, he completed core surgical training in Essex and higher surgical training in Trauma & Orthopaedics across Essex and the Northwest. After achieving FRCS (Tr & Orth.), he undertook prestigious spinal fellowships at Great Ormond Street Hospital, London, and the AO Spine Reference Centre in Cardiff.

He has broad expertise in spinal surgery, including lumbar microdiscectomy, micro decompression, anterior cervical discectomy, disc replacement, cervical fusion, posterior cervical procedures, thoracolumbar approaches, scoliosis surgery, lumbosacral injections, and minimally invasive techniques such as image‑guided pedicle screws, ALIF, and XLIF.

From 2013 to 2016, he served as a Locum Spine Consultant at Warrington Hospital, followed by specialist rotations at Manchester Royal Infirmary, Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, and Salford Royal Hospital. After obtaining CESR, he completed a refresher fellowship at the Oswestry Spinal Unit in 2022

In 2023, he was appointed Consultant Orthopaedic Spinal Surgeon at The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust. His practice focuses on degenerative spinal conditions, particularly cervical surgery. He has published over 15 peer‑reviewed papers and is an active member of BOA, BASS, NSN, BMA, BIOS, and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
