About

Mr Paul Marriott is a specialist Consultant Upper Gastrointestinal (UGI) and General Surgeon experienced in minimally invasive/ ‘key hole’ (laparoscopic or robotic) surgery.

He graduated from the University of Manchester and completed his surgical training in London and the West Midlands. He has been an NHS consultant at Warwick hospital since 2017, regularly performing gallbladder removal (Cholecystectomy), all types of hernia repairs (including inguinal, ventral and hiatal) and anti-reflux surgery.

He is also an experienced JAG accredited diagnostic and therapeutic UGI endoscopic who performs OGD’s, gastroscopy and ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography).

Mr Paul Marriott was awarded a medical doctorate (MD) by the University of Birmingham for his thesis titled ’Does the process of implementing Service line management affect theatre utilisation?’  

He has numerous publications in scientific journals related to gallstone disease and has made contributions to both international and national collaborative general surgical research projects. As a primary investigator he continues to support the delivery of National Institute for Health and Care research (NIHR) clinical trials as part of his NHS practice.
