About
Mr Sathyamoorthy underwent higher surgical training at the Mersey Deanery in Liverpool and obtained his Specialist Registration in Trauma and Orthopaedics in 2006 after which he did a Fellowship in Shoulder and Upper limb surgery at Royal Liverpool University hospital. He obtained his Masters degree in Orthopaedics at the University of Liverpool. He has been a full time NHS Consultant since 2008.
He specialises in the treatment of Shoulder, elbow and hand pathologies.
He provides advanced and the latest procedures to treat upper limb problems.
Arthroscopic procedures including shoulder decompression, rotator cuff repairs, shoulder stabilisation for dislocations, joint replacements including Reverse shoulder replacements, release of frozen shoulders are some of the procedures that he does on a regular basis. He also treats injuries to shoulders like Clavicle fractures, shoulder fractures, elbow injuries and other trauma in general. He is trained in hand surgery as well having done a Fellowship at Whiston plastic surgery unit and provides treatment for trapped nerves including carpal and cubital tunnel syndromes, ganglions, tendinitis, trigger fingers etc.
He provides assessments and treats industrial injuries to the upper limb.
