About

Mr Omar Shareef brings over two decades of specialised expertise as a Consultant Urological Surgeon to The Grosvenor Hospital in Chester. His clinical focus centers on advanced, minimally invasive treatments, early cancer diagnostics, and tailored care plans designed to ensure faster recoveries. Alongside adult urology, he also offers dedicated paediatric urological care.

Earning his medical degree in 2003, Mr Shareef undertook rigorous fellowships centered on prostate cancer management and has served in various clinical roles across prominent medical centers in North West England. His practice philosophy prioritises open communication, ensuring patients are fully informed and active participants throughout their treatment journeys.

Beyond direct clinical care, Mr Shareef is an established leader in surgical education. He contributes actively to ongoing medical research, acts as a postgraduate tutor for the University of Edinburgh, and serves on the faculty for the Royal College of Surgeons of England. His academic contributions have earned him multiple accolades, including the North West School of Surgery Best Trainer Award and the University of Edinburgh Tutor of the Year Award.
