About
Mr Arumainayagam (or Mr Arum as he is known to his patients) grew up near Southampton, attending King Edward VI School, and went on to study medicine at the University of Nottingham Medical School. He undertook basic surgical training in London and Bristol, a research fellow post at University College London and higher urological training on the prestigious North West London (Imperial) rotation (St Mary’s, Royal Marsden, Hillingdon, Watford General, Charing Cross and Northwick Park Hospitals).
After completing higher urological SpR training he was appointed to Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in April 2015. He is the current Lead Cancer Clinician and Foundation Year 2 Training Programme Director at Ashford and St Peter’s Hospital NHS Trust.

Kidney stones, Prostate Cancer diagnostics (raised PSA) and management, Benign Prostatic Enlargement (including novel treatment techniques)

MD Thesis in the role of multiparametric MRI in prostate cancer diagnosis as a clinical research fellow at University College London Hospital and research into focal therapy treatment of prostate cancer using High Intensity Focussed Ultrasound and Photodynamic Therapy.
Current Principal Investigator on prostate cancer trials (INDEX, CADMUS, PRONOUNCE, PROFILE) and investigator for kidney stone treatment trials (TISU and PURE) at Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Trust.
