Mr Miguel Fernandez is a highly regarded Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon at Nuffield Health Warwickshire Hospital, specialising in the complex field of foot and ankle surgery for patients across Leamington Spa, Warwick, Coventry, and the wider Warwickshire area. A UK-trained specialist, Mr Fernandez brings a research-led, precision-focused approach to patient care. His surgical expertise was refined through a series of prestigious, world-class fellowships. After completing his specialist training on the Warwick programme, he sought advanced training in his field at a number of renowned institutions such as the Exeter Foot & Ankle Unit, and the Fortius Clinic in London, the UK’s premier centre for elite sports orthopaedics. He further expanded his surgical repertoire in Australia at the NSW Limb Reconstruction Centre, gaining unique expertise in complex conditions of the foot & ankle.
 
Mr Fernandez’s clinical practice focuses on utilising the latest surgical innovations, aiming to offer patients faster recovery times, reduced post-operative discomfort, and superior cosmetic results. In addition to his clinical work, Mr Fernandez is active in orthopaedic research. He serves as an Honorary Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Warwick and has contributed over 30 peer-reviewed papers to global medical literature. As a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and an active member of the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (BOFAS), he ensures that the care provided at Nuffield Health Warwickshire Hospital remains at the cutting edge of modern medicine.
