Mr Michael Wilson is a highly regarded Consultant General and Upper Gastrointestinal Surgeon with expertise in minimally invasive (keyhole) surgery. He has a special interest in gallbladder surgery, hernia repair, and upper gastrointestinal endoscopy.
As Clinical Lead for General Surgery at NHS Forth Valley, he is dedicated to delivering exceptional, patient-centred surgical care while also advancing medical research and innovation. He additionally holds a post as a Visiting Major Trauma Surgeon at St Mary’s Hospital Major Trauma Centre, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, London.
Mr Wilson is known for his warm and approachable manner, which, combined with his meticulous surgical skill, has earned him the trust and respect of both his patients and colleagues.
His patient-centred approach focuses on involving each individual in every step of their care journey. This collaborative approach not only leads to improved health outcomes but also empowers patients with a sense of autonomy and control over their treatment decisions.
