About

Mr Michael Grant is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon with a specialist interest in Knee Surgery.

He has recently completed international fellowships at the prestigious North Shore Hospital in Auckland, New Zealand, and the renowned Sports Surgery Fellowship in Perth, Australia. Prior to this he worked at one of the UK’s leading Orthopaedic centres, Wrightington.

He brings back a wealth of experience and a contemporary philosophy to managing disorders of the knee.

Using current evidence and the latest techniques, he will work with you to offer a bespoke treatment plan, to get you back to your chosen activities.

He completed his Orthopaedic training in the Mersey region and during this time demonstrated a commitment to training others and mentoring, which he continues to do so in his NHS practice at Wrexham Maelor Hospital.

His passion for sport has led him to complete postgraduate training in Sports and Exercise Medicine which enhances his understanding of the athlete as a patient.

He has presented around the world and has multiple publications from the research he has carried out in his field, and he continues to strive for excellence and the best evidence to guide treatment for his patients.
