About
Throughout his career, Mr Cass has helped bring a number of advanced procedures and techniques to the South Coast, including anterior lumbar surgery, lumbar disc replacement, minimally invasive spinal surgery, and vertebroplasty.
Mr Cass has now stepped back from performing open spinal surgery to focus on outpatient spinal care. This includes detailed consultations, diagnostic assessments, personalised non-operative management plans, day case spinal procedures, and independent second opinions.
Where open spinal surgery is needed, he can arrange referral to an appropriate specialist surgical colleague. If requested, he is also happy to remain involved in your care afterwards, including post-surgical follow-up, to help guide rehabilitation and longer-term management.
Mr Cass continues to maintain close links with leading spinal surgeons across the UK Mr Cass has a long-standing reputation in Sussex and beyond for excellence in spinal diagnosis, clinical decision-making, and patient-centred care.
Approach to patient care
Stepping back from open surgery allows Mr Cass to dedicate more time to careful outpatient assessment and collaborative planning of the most appropriate treatment for each patient's condition.
