Mr MD Zaker Ullah has been working as a Consultant Oncoplastic Breast and General Surgeon at Bart’s Trust since 2012. He is the Clinical Lead of the Whipps Cross Breast Unit. He has been trained in the North East Thames Deanery and worked in different hospitals including The Royal Marsden, Royal Free, St Mary’s and Broomfield Hospital.
Mr Ullah has extensive experience in reconstructive and oncoplastic procedures of breast including reduction mammoplasty, implant- based reconstruction, latissimus dorsi flaps, Grissoti flaps and all kinds of augmentations and reduction mammoplasties for symmetrisation operation, fat grafting, nipple reconstruction after breast cancer surgeries. He was awarded for the best video presentation in European association for endoscopic Surgery for his innovation of glove balloon for dissection of space for key hole repair of hernias in 2003.
He introduced the practice of fat grafting for breast deformities at Whipps Cross University Hospital. He is also training junior surgeons as clinical and educational supervisors and is the educational lead and also he has been the director of renowned Whipps Cross Higher Surgery FRCS course for the last six years. He is also a bilingual Bengali TV channel presenter and is regularly involved with Bengali community and outreach work.
