About
Mr Kiran Singisetti is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with an interest in managing hip and knee problems. He has a busy clinical practice involving primary and revision (re-do) hip and knee replacement surgery. He also treats soft tissue knee disorders, such as meniscal and ACL injuries. He was appointed as Consultant at Gateshead NHS Foundation Trust in 2016.
Following his surgical training in the Northeast of England, Mr Singisetti went on to complete the Cavendish Hip and Knee Arthroplasty Fellowship in Sheffield, UK and an AO Trauma Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, USA.
He has been awarded the British Orthopaedic Association travelling fellowship (Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto), the British Association of Surgeons of Knee fellowship (New Delhi) and the Charnley-Latta Travelling Scholarship (Hamburg).
He is interested in medical education and teaches on a variety of regional, national, and worldwide trainee courses. He is a faculty member of Royal College of Surgeons courses, an ATLS instructor and on the panel of examiners for FRCS exam.
Mr Singisetti has wide research interests; given
presentations at international gatherings such as the American Academy of
Orthopaedic Surgeons and the British Orthopaedic Association. He has also written
several articles, book chapters, and co-edited a book.
