About

Mr Kartik Logishetty is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and Honorary Associate Professor at UCL, specialising exclusively in hip surgery. 

He graduated with distinctions from Guy’s, King’s, and St Thomas’ medical school, before completing his orthopaedic training and PhD in hip surgery at Imperial College. He undertook fellowships at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre Oxford, UCL, and centres in the USA, Canada, and Switzerland, focusing on anterior approach hip replacement, complex revisions, hip preservation, and hip resurfacing.

Mr Logishetty leads a research team focusing on improving outcomes in hip disease, including hip impingement, dysplasia, and arthritis. He is a committee member on the British Hip Society, and an award-winning researcher in AI and device design. Mr Logishetty trains surgeons internationally and is an expert reviewer for orthopaedic journals and the NIHR. 

His comprehensive hip practice prioritises shared decision-making, safely applying technologies and evidence-based interventions to develop customised treatment strategies for every patient.

Research

Mr Logishetty has published over 100 papers, books and book chapters related to orthopaedics. 

He completed an MSc and PhD in hip surgery, and is an honorary associate Professor at University College London and Clinical Lecturer at Imperial College London. He is on the research committee of the British Hip Society, engaging with patients to develop clinical trials and technologies.  

He now leads a research team developing novel implants and AI applications related to femoroacetabular impingement (FAI), hip dysplasia, and periprosthetic hip fractures.
