About

I'm an award‑winning, fellowship‑trained Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon based in Glasgow.

I specialise in hip and knee joint replacement surgery, including complex primary procedures, revision hip replacements, and advanced orthopaedic trauma care.

I'm recognised for my expertise in modern surgical techniques, robotic‑assisted joint replacement, and innovative biological treatments for arthritis.

I introduced nSTRIDE® APS to Scotland in 2021, exclusively at Nuffield Health Glasgow Hospital, offering patients a cutting‑edge non‑surgical option for knee arthritis.

Training, qualifications and awards

I graduated from the University of Glasgow with commendation (MB ChB) and completed an Honours degree in Sports Medicine (BSc.Med.Sci).

I undertook both basic and higher surgical training in Trauma & Orthopaedics in the West of Scotland.

Key achievements include:

  • Arthur Edward Burton Memorial Award for the highest mark in the FRCS (Part I) examination
  • Awarded FRCS (Tr & Orth) in 2013
  • Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.

Current NHS Practice

I've been an NHS Consultant since 2015, initially at the Royal Alexandra Hospital and now at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow.

My elective practice is dedicated exclusively to hip and knee surgery, ensuring highly specialised, focused care.

I also run dedicated complex trauma operating lists, treating high‑energy injuries and complex fractures.
