About

I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in hip and knee surgery. I diagnose and treat joint conditions such as arthritis, sports injuries, cartilage damage, and ligament injuries. My goal is to help you regain mobility and return to your preferred activities.

I perform both primary and revision joint replacements, working to restore comfort and mobility by correcting or replacing previous joint implants as needed.

Professional background

I graduated with honours from the University of St Andrews with a Bachelor of Science. I then completed medical and surgical training at the University of Manchester.

I trained in orthopaedic surgery on the Cambridge programme at Addenbrooke’s Hospital and further developed my experience at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.

I had the privilege of completing advanced training overseas, including a fellowship in Colorado, USA, and an international travelling fellowship in Australia and China. These experiences enabled me to develop expertise in joint preservation and complex reconstruction, fueling my passion for innovative patient care.

Leadership and teaching

I have held senior roles in orthopaedics, serving as Chair of a leading UK and international orthopaedic examination. I continue to support examinations in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Africa.

I have also been elected President of the Chester and North Wales Medical Society.

I am an Honorary Lecturer at the Universities of Edinburgh, Chester, and Liverpool. I am committed to teaching and training future surgeons.
