About
James Singleton is an orthopaedic consultant with an NHS practice at Frimley Park Hospital since 2017 and is fellowship trained in both trauma surgery and knee surgery.
His private practice is focussed exclusively on knee disorders, encompassing operative and nonoperative treatment. He has a special interest in ligament reconstruction including multiple knee ligament injuries and revision ligament surgery as well as meniscal issues. He looks after patellofemoral problems and all stages of knee arthritis from joint preservation options through to partial and total knee replacement surgery.
James grew up in Buckinghamshire and moved on from Aylesbury Grammar School to University College London Medical School, graduating in 2002. He completed his orthopaedic surgical training in London and Surrey including two years full time post-doctoral research culminating in an MD in Bioengineering from Imperial College London in 2016.
James remains a serving British Army officer, having
commissioned as a medical student and has served as an orthopaedic surgeon on
operational tours in Afghanistan and the Middle East.

Personal interests
When not at work, James loves time at home with his wife and
their two boys, coaching his eldest son’s rugby team and getting out on his
road bike in the Surrey hills.
