Alongside his private practice, Mr Machin serves as a Consultant Trauma and Foot Ankle Surgeon at The Countess of Chester Hospital, where he manages both elective and emergency foot and ankle conditions.
He previously held the same clinical role at Mid‑Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, where he also served as Associate Medical Director for Surgery & Cancer, Clinical Lead for Trauma and Orthopaedics and Orthopaedic Trauma Lead in the Trust; contributing to service development and clinical leadership.
Mr Machin completed his advanced orthopaedic training at Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, gaining extensive experience in the management of elective, complex elective, revision, and trauma‑related foot and ankle disorders. Prior to this, he undertook six years of specialist orthopaedic training within the Mersey Deanery.
He graduated with Honours from the University of Liverpool School of Medicine in 2003, establishing a strong academic foundation for his surgical career.
