About

Mr Dan Higman is a Consultant Vascular and Paediatric Surgeon at Nuffield Health Warwickshire Hospital in Leamington Spa. With over 35 years of clinical expertise, Mr Higman provides specialist surgical care to patients across Warwickshire, Coventry, the West Midlands and the surrounding areas. He is widely recognised for his proficiency in modern, minimally invasive treatments, offering patients effective alternatives to traditional open surgery.
 
As the Lead Surgeon at the Warwickshire Vein Centre, Mr Higman specialises in "walk-in, walk-out" procedures for venous diseases. His practice serves patients from Warwick, Stratford-upon-Avon, Kenilworth and Solihull seeking relief from painful or unsightly veins. His areas of vascular expertise include:
 
•   Varicose Vein Treatments: Radiofrequency (RF) Ablation and Ultrasound-Guided Foam Sclerotherapy.

In addition to his vascular work, Mr Higman is the Lead General Paediatric Surgeon for Coventry and Warwickshire. He provides a dedicated service for families treating common childhood conditions such as inguinal and umbilical hernias, undescended testes (cryptorchidism), hydroceles, and circumcision. His dual-specialty background also makes him a go-to specialist for the removal of skin lumps, bumps and minor lesions in both adults and children.
 

Mr Higman qualified from The London Hospital Medical College in 1986 and held a long-standing Consultant post at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. A Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) with a Master of Science (MS) and a Master of Medical Education (MMedEd), he remains at the forefront of surgical innovation. He is an active member of the Vascular Society of Great Britain and Ireland and has contributed significant research to prestigious medical journals including The Lancet and The British Journal of Surgery.
