Mr Biju Nair

Mr Biju Nair is a Consultant Urologist with a broad interest in the diagnosis and management of both benign and complex urological conditions. His specialist areas include urinary stone disease, benign urology, prostate diagnostics, and minimally invasive surgical treatments for benign prostatic enlargement.

Mr Nair also has a particular interest in female urology and the assessment and treatment of erectile dysfunction. He is committed to providing patient-centred care, combining evidence-based practice with the latest diagnostic and surgical techniques to achieve the best possible outcomes for his patients.

He leads the Trust's prostate diagnostic service and specialises in local anaesthetic transperineal prostate biopsies. He also manages a wide range of prostate conditions and is currently the only NHS surgeon in Staffordshire performing surgery for large prostates.

His practice includes the treatment of complex female urological conditions, including vaginal cysts, urethral diverticula and urinary disorders, as well as bladder Botox treatments for selected patients.

Mr Nair has significant experience in the management of complex urinary stone disease and is highly skilled in rigid and flexible ureteroscopy and laser stone treatment.
