About
Mr Benedetto Mondelli is a Consultant Gynaecologist with expertise in endometriosis and minimally invasive gynaecological surgery. He holds an NHS consultant post at the Royal Surrey County Hospital, where his practice focuses on advanced laparoscopic surgery for endometriosis and other benign gynaecological conditions.
He performs a high number of complex endometriosis surgeries each year, including procedures for deep infiltrating disease. Mr Mondelli completed a fellowship in advanced endometriosis surgery at the Centre for Endometriosis and Minimally Invasive Gynaecology (CEMIG) in London under Mr Shaheen Khazali, and accredited training in advanced laparoscopic surgery for benign disease through the CEMIG in Ashford and St Peter’s NHS Foundation Trust.
His expertise lies in minimally invasive surgery, with a strong interest in managing pelvic pain, endometriosis, and abnormal uterine bleeding. His approach centres on providing personalised care to improve quality of life.
An active member of the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (BSGE), Mr Mondelli previously served on its council and now contributes to its Information Resources and Robotic Surgery Subcommittees. He has presented and published extensively on laparoscopic surgery and endometriosis, earning recognition for his work, including first prize for best video presentation at ENDO-Dubai 2022.
