About

Mr Ashley Costin‑Brown is an award‑winning Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in hip and knee surgery. He is dedicated to helping patients regain mobility and improve their quality of life.

Mr Costin‑Brown graduated with Honours from the University of Glasgow in 2011. He completed his early surgical training in London at major hospitals including St Mary’s Hospital and King’s College Hospital. He then undertook specialist Orthopaedic Training on the respected Oswestry/Stoke rotation, based at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital.

He achieved Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in 2020 and was awarded the Sir Walter Mercer Medal, also known as the “gold medal”, for achieving the highest performance nationally that year.

In 2021, Mr Costin‑Brown completed a prestigious Fellowship at the Sunnybrook Holland Centre in Toronto, Canada, gaining advanced international experience in hip and knee replacement surgery. He now works as an NHS Consultant at the University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust, with responsibilities in both elective surgery and major trauma.
