Miss Aziz sees patients 10 years and over.

Miss Sheweidin Aziz is a full-time Consultant Spinal Surgeon at University Hospitals of Leicester and is currently the only female consultant spinal surgeon in the Midlands.

She specialises in the assessment and surgical management of degenerative spinal disorders, spinal deformity, spinal trauma, and complex spinal pathology affecting the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. Her practice encompassesg:

Education

Miss Aziz was privileged to be among the first cohort of Spinal Training Interface Group (TIG) Fellows in the UK before she subsequently completed the prestigious spinal fellowship at the Leeds Centre for Neurosciences.

Teaching

She is also committed to education, regularly contributing to teaching programmes, interview panels, and revision courses. Her dedication to medical education was recognised with the Outstanding Clinical Teacher Award from the University of Leicester Medical School.

Leadership

Miss Aziz currently serves as Audit Lead for the Trauma and Orthopaedics Department and remains actively involved in service development and clinical governance.
