About
Miss Rowena Bevan studied medicine at Cambridge University, graduating in 1985. From there she went to Guy's Hospital Medical School, University of London, qualifying as a doctor in 1988.
After house jobs, she moved to Australia for two years to perform research in Urogynaecology and was awarded an MD from Cambridge University. She then returned to England and trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology working at Guy's Hospital, Queen Charlotte's Hospital, St Thomas’s Hospital, and Ashford Hospital.
In 1995 she was appointed as a subspecialty trainee in Reproductive Medicine under Professor Robert Winston and Professor Lesley Regan at Hammersmith and St Mary's hospitals. During that time she obtained an MSc in Human Reproductive Biology (1996).
She was appointed as a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Kingston Hospital in 2001. Miss Bevan is currently Person Responsible and Clinical Lead for the Assisted Conception Unit at Kingston Hospital. She specialises in Reproductive Medicine, Minimal Access Surgery and General Gynaecology. She is a Menopause Specialist certified by the British Menopause Society.
Rowena was joint Training Programme Director for the junior doctor Obstetrics and Gynaecology trainees in South London (appointed by King's Healthcare Partners) for 15 years until 2022.
Miss Bevan sees patients aged 13 and over for period-related concerns.
