Miss Megan Jeffries

Miss Megan Jeffries is a Consultant Ophthalmologist and Ophthalmic Surgeon based in West Sussex.  She graduated from Cambridge University (BA 2000 MA 2003) and Nottingham University (BMBS 2007).  She trained to be an ophthalmologist in the South London Deanery which included St Thomas' Hospital, Moorfields Eye Hospital, The Royal London Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital.  She joined the team at University Hospital Sussex NHS Trust in 2020.  She has led the paediatric service since joining and is an experienced educator having led both medical student and ophthalmic practitioners education programmes. She is now Clinical Lead for the Department of Ophthalmology.  

Delivering excellent patient care is front and centre of her approach.

Miss Jeffries is a very approachable hard-working ophthalmologist.   She manages patients with all general ophthalmological conditions ranging from cataracts and squints surgeries to dry eyes, lid lumps, YAG capsulotomies, and glaucoma management.  She offers cataract surgery using monofocal lenses, or advanced premium lenses (toric, enhanced depth of focus and trifocal lenses). She works closely with other specialists where necessary to coordinate excellent care.

Miss Jeffries loves living in West Sussex, enjoying all the different opportunities to be outdoors.  She enjoys keeping fit and is a volunteer for the British Paralympic Committee.
