Miss Bhavna Sharma

Dr Bhavna Sharma is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon specialising in oculoplastic and eyelid surgery and periocular rejuvenation. She completed specialist ophthalmology training in Wales, followed by fellowship training in oculoplastic, orbital and lacrimal surgery at University Hospital Southampton. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and is listed on the GMC Specialist Register.

Her clinical interests include eyelid malposition, ptosis, blepharoplasty, lacrimal disorders and periocular reconstruction. She also has a particular interest in dry eye disease, meibomian gland dysfunction and blepharitis, and in facial aesthetics. She provides botulinum toxin treatment for conditions including blepharospasm, hemifacial spasm and facial palsy.

Dr Sharma takes a holistic, bespoke and patient-centred approach. She aims to understand each patient’s concerns, symptoms and priorities, and to tailor assessment and treatment accordingly. In planning care, she considers eye health, comfort, function and appearance together, with clear explanations and shared decision-making throughout. Her aim is for each patient to feel listened to, informed and supported in choosing an appropriate treatment plan.
