About
Dr Ezhil is a highly experienced Consultant Oncologist with a specialist focus on advanced radiotherapy techniques. She played a key role in launching the stereotactic ablative body radiotherapy (SABR) lung service at Royal Surrey County Hospital (RSCH) in January 2012 and has since treated over 150 patients.
As the current SABR lead for oligometastatic disease at RSCH, she delivers SABR across all cancer sites and considers patients with up to three metastases in the lung, liver, spine, bone, adrenal gland, or lymph nodes from any solid tumour.
She has held a substantive consultant post in clinical oncology since November 2009, with a clinical focus on lung cancer and lymphoma.
Dr Ezhil completed a research fellowship in advanced technical radiotherapy at the MD Anderson Cancer Centre in Houston, Texas, where she studied respiratory motion management techniques including 4DCT, respiratory gating, and IGRT. She also gained hands-on experience in SABR and explored the clinical applications of proton beam therapy.
Her commitment to ongoing professional development includes attending the SABR training programme at UT Southwestern Medical Centre in Dallas under Dr Timmerman in December 2011, and the SBRT Symposium in Amsterdam in 2014, hosted by the Dutch Society of Radiation Oncology.
Dr Ezhil regularly participates in national and international conferences, including those held by the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO), to collaborate with global experts and stay at the forefront of SABR advancements.
