About
Dr Veena Patel is a Consultant Rheumatologist at Nuffield Health Leicester Hospital and the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust.
Her clinical expertise encompasses the diagnosis and management of a broad spectrum of rheumatological and musculoskeletal conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis (RA), psoriatic arthritis, axial spondyloarthritis, inflammatory back pain, ankylosing spondylitis, connective tissue diseases (CTD), soft tissue rheumatic disorders, metabolic bone disease (MBD), osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, and inflammatory and non-inflammatory myopathies.
She is also experienced in performing image-guided joint and soft tissue injections for the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions.
Teaching
She regularly teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate medical students. She has published many papers in peer-reviewed journals and has the title of Senior Lecturer (Honorary) at the University of Leicester.
