About
Dr Sanjeev Pattni is a Consultant Gastroenterologist with over 26 years of experience helping patients find clear answers for complex digestive symptoms.
He sees patients with digestive conditions, including chronic diarrhoea, inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis), irritable bowel syndrome, small bowel and liver disorders.
Education
Dr Pattni qualified from University College London and completed specialist gastroenterology training at Imperial College Hospitals and St Mark’s Hospital – internationally recognised centres for digestive disease.
Teaching and clinical experience
He has led local and international training programmes, helping to train doctors and nurses in advanced endoscopic techniques to improve patient care.
Dr Pattni has recently been Head of the Department at University Hospitals of Leicester (UHL), and has overseen the delivery of safe, high-quality diagnostic services. He has also been IBD and endoscopy lead.
He is also an advanced colonoscopist in the National Bowel Cancer Screening Programme, helping detect bowel cancer and pre-cancerous polyps.
