About

Dr Roger Beadle is a highly regarded Consultant Cardiologist based at Nuffield Health Warwickshire Hospital, specialising in the comprehensive management of heart failure and cardiac rhythm disorders. As the current Clinical Director for Cardiology at South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust, Dr Beadle brings a wealth of clinical leadership and expertise to his private practice. He is dedicated to providing evidence-based, patient-centred care for those experiencing symptoms such as chest pain, breathlessness, palpitations, and dizziness across Leamington Spa, Warwick, Stratford-upon-Avon and the surrounding areas.
 
His specialist clinical interests lie in the diagnosis and long-term treatment of heart failure and cardiomyopathy, as well as advanced cardiac device therapy. Dr Beadle is a recognised expert in the implantation and management of Pacemakers, Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillators (ICD), and Cardiac Resynchronisation Therapy (CRT). By combining his deep clinical knowledge with the latest diagnostic technology, he ensures that every patient receives a tailored treatment plan designed to improve both heart function and overall quality of life.
 
Dr Beadle’s clinical excellence is underpinned by a distinguished academic and research background. After graduating from the University of Queensland, he completed specialist cardiology training in the UK and was awarded a prestigious British Heart Foundation Research Fellowship. During this time, he earned his PhD from the University of Aberdeen for his impactful research into myocardial metabolism and heart failure. This commitment to medical advancement ensures his patients benefit from the most current and effective cardiological interventions available.

Research

Dr Beadle completed a three year research project funded by the British Heart Foundation and the Heart Fund for Wales under the guidance of Professor MP Frenneaux, Regius Professor of Medicine, University of Aberdeen.  He conducted a multicentre randomised controlled trial of Perhexiline in patients with dilated cardiomyopathy with the aims of further describing the drugs effect and mechanism of action. He developed skills and interests in cardiomyopathy, non-invasive imaging including MUGA scans, quantitative assessment of radio nucleotide ventriculography, MRI, and echocardiography.  He has developed a specific interest in magnetic resonance spectroscopy and its application to the heart.  He graduated with a PhD in November 2013.
