About
Dr Reza Zadeh is a Consultant Interventional and General Cardiologist who is the current Clinical Lead for Cardiology at Worthing Hospital. His expertise covers the full range of cardiac care, including chest pain, shortness of breath, heart failure, palpitations and dizzy episodes. He is passionate about cardiac risk assessment, cholesterol and BP management, and prevention of cardiac disease.
Dr Zadeh has completed his training in Manchester, Boston (USA) and Auckland (NZ). He graduated with an Honours degree from the University of Manchester and was awarded his PhD in 2014. He was awarded a British Cardiac Intervention Society fellowship and trained in complex cardiac interventions at the world-renowned Greenlane Centre (Auckland). He worked as a consultant in NZ before returning to the UK.
He has been granted Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians of both the UK and Australasia.
He specialises in coronary artery disease and performs angiography and stenting using state-of-the-art technologies, including intravascular imaging, pressure wire studies, and microvascular assessment to fully assess chest pain and treat any significant disease.
Dr Zadeh performs non-invasive cardiac CT scans to assess the coronary health of his patients, providing a risk score for future cardiovascular events and discussing ways to reduce this risk.

Dr Zadeh was awarded a British Heart Foundation fellowship to complete his PhD at the University of Manchester. He was awarded a BRC Travel fellowship to complete a period of post-doctoral research at the world-renowned Harvard Medical School in Boston, USA. He was subsequently appointed as an NIHR Academic Clinical Lecturer for 4 years at the University of Manchester.
He has published numerous significant papers in the fields of vascular biology and cardiovascular medicine. He is the author of several medical and scientific book chapters, by invitation. He is the current Deputy Lead for Medicine module 303 for undergraduate students at Brighton and Sussex Medical School.
